A Parcel Arrives ....

I've just had a great holiday in New Zealand (where I found 3 new pegs) and on my return I found that a large parcel had arrived.

With mounting excitement I saw that the sender was another peg collector... and the customs form said it contained pegs. Yippeeee!!!

Now I don'tlike to rush things and so to lengthen the suspense, I opened the box, got myself a cup of coffee and pulled the pegs out one by one and inspected them carefully. I then compared them to my meticulously sorted collection hanging all over my hall walls and guess what? In that box there were 54 new pegs to add to my collection. How could someone find 54 more that I haven't already got? It just goes to show how many are out there waiting to be discovered.

All the new pegs have now been measured (with my vernier calipers), had their statistics entered into my database, photographed for your enjoyment, and are now hanging, each in their correct spot, on my racks in the hall.

What a great start to the new peg collecting year. Thank you, my friend!!

p.s. The Rooster peg shown in the photo was also in the post from another collector ... grateful thanks to Mrs. Washalot - I hope you enjoy the ones I have sent to you.
