Double Dutch

We recently went to see fellow peglomaniac, Maarten, and his huge collection of washknippen in Holland. Fortunately, we had no language problems as he and his family all speak perfect English and it was lovely to catch up with them after three years.

Soon, the garden table was covered in pegs for us to sort through, discuss in great detail.

Naturally, Maarten and I soon got down to the serious buisiness of peg swapping and he had lots to give me ..... this shows just how many!

In the centre of the picture is the smallest peg we have ever seen and here it is next to a five pence piece so that you can see it would actually work ...... now, I wonder if there are fairies at the bottom of our garden?

On the Saturday we all went to Amsterdam where there was a very special exhibition in the library.

Here, we are studying the exhibits and finding quite a few that neither of us have .... yet!!

Afterwards, we had a bite to eat in the restaurant on the top floor with a view over old Amsterdam.

A double Dutch treat - life is good!
